The Foundation hopes that these students will have a significant impact on the future leadership of the state and nation. Students receiving funds from the Terry Foundation attend one of thirteen partnering public Texas universities. Both Nious and Torres were very involved in the NLC Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the academic honor society for students attending a community or junior college.
