Staff Senate

The San Antonio College Staff Senate represents classified and professional staff at San Antonio College and meets with College leadership regularly. The SAC Staff Senate also works in cooperation with Staff Senates from other colleges and district offices of the Alamo College District as representatives of the Executive Staff Senate (ESS). Through ESS we meeting with District Leadership on a monthly basis.

Purpose

Mission 

The mission of SAC Staff Senates shall include—but not be limited to—advocacy for the career advancement, job welfare and working environment of all staff at the respective entities for which Staff Senate is formed.

Vision

• To represent the concerns of classified, professional, part-time, and temporary staff to SAC's College administrators.
• To address issues that concern the job welfare and job environment of all staff.
• To serve as a communications link among staff, faculty, and administrators.
• To conduct studies or surveys regarding matters of concern, as suggested or required.
• To promote activities conducive to the professional development of all staff.
• To provide input to Alamo Colleges District policy, budget rules, and regulations for the benefit of staff
