Visiting Artist Lecture with Vincent Valdez

Vincent Valdez, born in 1977, is an American artist native to San Antonio, Texas, who focuses on drawing, painting, and printmaking. His artwork is representational and he frequently utilizes the genre of portraiture. Valdez often emphasizes themes of social justice, memory, and ignored or under-examined historical narratives. His art is in many prestigious collections, and he has exhibited in many reputable art museums and venues throughout the United States. He is the first Inaugural Alamo Colleges Artist in Residence.

The visiting artist lecture will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 3, in the Nursing & Allied Health Complex (NAHC), Room 218, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Alamo College District.
