In the early 1970s, teenagers with disabilities faced a future marked by isolation, discrimination, and institutionalization. Camp Jened, a camp designed for people with disabilities, challenged these limitations. Campers experienced liberation and full inclusion, embracing their identities as human beings. Many of them later moved to Berkeley, California, where they realized that activism and political participation could transform the future for millions. This insightful examination of the disability rights movement is executive-produced by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.
