Whataburger and San Antonio College hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April to celebrate the grand opening of the new SAC Advocacy Resource Room Powered by Whataburger.

During the event, students enjoyed free breakfast taquitos from the famous Whataburger Food Truck, as well as prize giveaways and a joint appearance by mascots Whataguy and Ace the Armadillo. One lucky winner received a grand prize of “Whataburger for a Year.”

Other San Antonio resource rooms are located at the downtown and main campuses at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

“Whataburger’s proud partnership with San Antonio College to open this resource room ensures students have all the valuable essentials necessary for success. This is a core goal of our Feeding Student Success program,” said Allie Watters, Whataburger Community Experience Manager. “We’re excited to open a third resource room in our hometown and look forward to welcoming Armadillos!”

This new partnership with Whataburger will take us to the next level, building on that foundation and enabling us to offer more ways to help our students achieve educational success,” said SAC President Dr. Naydeen González-De Jesús. “We’re grateful to Whataburger for being such a generous and visionary community partner and for supporting our mission of always putting students first.”
