On May 19, 2025, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) granted accreditation to St. Philip’s College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Obstetrics and Gynecology program.

The decision was based on a recommendation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) following a comprehensive evaluation using the 2020 Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

The program was found to be in full compliance, and the status became effective May 16, 2025. The next evaluation is scheduled for 2030.

The college's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is part of the Health Sciences Division, overseen by Dean for Academic Success, Health Sciences Christopher Metsgar and Yvette Senovsky, M.D., RDMS, who serves as program director.

CAAHEP is one of the largest programmatic accreditors in the health sciences field, ensuring high standards in educational quality across the nation.
