SPC Honors 2,425 Students for Academic Excellence

On March 3, 2026, St. Philip’s College celebrated the academic achievements of 2,425 students during its Spring 2026 Honors Convocation. The ceremony recognized excellence during the Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 semesters.
Students were honored in two categories. The Honors List recognized those who earned a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.999 while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. Among this group, 1,311 full-time students qualified for the Dean’s Honor List, including 862 continuing students, 140 dual credit students, 250 first-time college students and 59 transfer students.
The President’s Honor List recognized students who earned a perfect 4.0 while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. A total of 1,114 full-time students achieved this distinction, including 762 continuing students, 143 dual credit students, 151 first-time college students and 58 transfer students.
St. Philip’s College President Dr. Adena Williams Loston highlighted the role of family and community in student success. She said, “Tonight, we recognize that you have made the choice to prioritize your academic goals, often sacrificing time with family and friends. This is an investment on your part, and it’s already paying off. Students, you have built a strong foundation through your hard work and determination. It is our privilege to watch you soar.”
The ceremony concluded with the special presentation of certificates and commemorative photographs in celebration of the students’ accomplishments.
