SPC Names Dr. Malikah Pitts Harvey as Vice President for Student Success

St. Philip’s College has appointed Dr. Malikah Pitts Harvey as Vice President for Student Success, effective Jan. 10, 2026.

In this role, Dr. Pitts Harvey will lead student success initiatives and oversee Enrollment Management, Educational Support Services, Military Support Services, and Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach & Transition Center.   

Dr. Pitts Harvey brings 22 years of higher education experience, with extensive leadership in career development, service learning, first-year experience and student transition, counseling and accommodation services, student health and wellness, student activities and campus engagement, and campus living. Her most meaningful accomplishment is supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Dr. Pitts Harvey holds a Ph.D. in adult, professional, and community education from Texas State University, a Master of Education in college student affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications from the University of South Florida. She is affiliated with professional organizations such as NASPA First Gen Forward, Texas Women in Higher Education, and the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education.

Before joining the St. Philip’s College Tiger Nation, Dr. Pitts Harvey served as the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs at Texas Lutheran University.
