Professional Clothing Support for NLC Students
Program Overview
CareerFit is a new initiative from the Career Engaged Learning Office that provides Northeast Lakeview College students with access to professional clothing for interviews, internships, career fairs, and workplace settings. Students can earn a clothing rental voucher or a clothing purchase voucher by completing key career readiness activities and tracking their own progress.
CareerFit is open to all current NLC students, and requirements can be met retroactively beginning August 2025.
How CareerFit Works
- Register for the Program
Complete the online registration form:

Select either the Rental Voucher or the Purchase Voucher option. - Download Your Tracker
Students are responsible for monitoring their progress using the printable tracker for their selected voucher path. - Complete the Required Events & Appointments
Attend the necessary Career Services events and appointments listed below. - Submit Your Tracker & Receive Your Voucher to CELO
Once all requirements are met and verified, vouchers are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis depending on how you register.
Voucher Options
Rental Voucher – $60 Value (does not expire)
Designed for students who need professional clothing for short-term opportunity such as a job interview, presentation, or single event.
To earn the Rental Voucher, complete:

- 1 Résumé Appointment
- 1 Interview Skills Appointment

Rental Voucher Tracker
Purchase Voucher – $150 Value
Best for students building a long-term professional wardrobe for ongoing employment, internships, leadership roles, or frequent professional engagements.
To earn the Purchase Voucher, complete:
- 2 Events
(Any qualifying Career Services workshop or event) - 3 Appointments
- 1 Job Search Appointment
- 1 Résumé Appointment
- 1 Interview Skills Appointment

Purchase Voucher Tracker
- Must be a currently enrolled Northeast Lakeview College student.
- Activities may be counted retroactively starting August 2025.
- Vouchers are limited and distributed first come, first served as determined by when you register.
- Students may only receive one voucher per academic year.
- Students must bring or submit their completed tracker for verification.
Students will track their own completion of events and appointments using a downloadable physical tracker. Bring your completed tracker to the Career Engaged Learning Office for verification when all requirements are met.
Once a voucher is issued, the amount will be reported to the NLC Financial Aid Office as required by federal guidelines. While we anticipate minimal to no impact on a student’s adjusted financial need, students are encouraged to contact Financial Aid with any questions about their aid package.
