About Rayvel Miles

I am a dedicated nursing educator currently teaching in the New AAS Nursing Department at Northeast Lakeview College, where I have served for nearly one year. I bring 18 years of nursing experience to my role, with a clinical specialty in pediatrics. Prior to entering the nursing profession, I worked extensively with the intellectually disabled population, an experience that deeply shaped my compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and education.

I have been involved in nursing education for over three years and remain passionate about supporting the development of future nurses. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, earned my LVN diploma from St. Philip’s College, and completed my Associate Degree in Nursing at Galen College of Nursing.

I am deeply committed to facilitating student learning through sound, practical, and evidence-based nursing instruction that can be applied across diverse healthcare settings. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, prudence, and purposeful instruction to foster critical thinking, professional growth, and confidence in clinical practice. I look forward to mentoring and guiding students as they progress through their nursing journey.
