Visiting Student Admission Procedures
Students enrolled in and seeking a degree at another institution of higher education who plan to take courses at one of the colleges of the Alamo Colleges District with the intent to transfer course credit back to their home institution, are considered visiting (transient) students. If a student chooses to remain enrolled at one of the colleges of the Alamo Colleges District and become a degree seeking student after the initial transient enrollment term, they must follow the standard admission procedures and submit all required documents as outlined in the academic catalog of the respective college.
The visiting (transient) admission requirements have been updated to require:
- A completed ApplyTexas application for admission
- An official Academic Transcript to register for courses
- Pre-requisite course overrides approved by certified advisor or department chair
