Rachel.jpg

My name is Rachel Briskey, and I'm an Art Major. What I love about NLC is the people. Going to NLC gave me the opportunity to connect with people and develop social skills that I wouldn't have necessarily formed if I had gone to a different school. NLC has a knack for allowing us to form strong bonds with other students, especially of a very large variety of different people. There's something that feels so enriching about seeing so many people with different life experiences that attend the same school as me.

Isabel Zimmerman is majoring in Business Administration at Northeast Lakeview College. One thing she loves about NLC is how it truly feels like home. The campus is clean, safe, and welcoming both inside and outside the classroom—a place where students can learn, grow, and feel supported every step of the way.

Brianna.jpg

Brianna Myrick is a Psychology major at Northeast Lakeview College. For her, what makes NLC so special isn’t just the classrooms or the campus—it’s the people. It’s the amazing, supportive staff who are always ready to lend a hand or offer an encouraging word. It’s the professors and advisors who see more than just grades; they see potential, goals, and personal stories. It’s the students who are open-minded and kind, connecting through shared experiences as they navigate college life together.

What Brianna loves most about NLC is how the college not only prepares students for the next step but also connects them through organizations, networking, and genuine care—helping them build something bigger than themselves. Coming back to school after five years was intimidating at first, but from the moment she stepped on campus, NLC made her feel like she belonged and could take on anything. It has become her second home—a place where she’s made lasting friendships, inspiring connections, and rediscovered her confidence and purpose.
