Welcome! San Antonio College and our sister colleges use Handshake as the job and internship portal.

Want to promote your events? Email your flyer (JPEG/PNG) to sac-creo@alamo.edu for social media sharing.

Here’s how you can engage with students:

  • Job Postings: To post full-time, part-time, temporary, or internship positions - Create a Handshake profile, connect with Alamo Colleges District, and start posting positions to students at our five local community colleges.
  • SAC Recruitment Tabling: Priority for Handshake-registered employers. Free table, chairs, and parking! (Register Here) We provide 1 table and 2 chairs and there is no cost associated with recruitment tabling. Fall 2025 Session: September 1, 2025 – December 4, 2025

  • SAC Hiring Fairs: Employers who want to be added to our contact us will be added to our list-serv and will receive event invitations each year for upcoming events.

Hiring Justice- Impacted Candidates? Email sac-creo@alamo.edu to get on our Justice-Impacted Resource List.

  • Federal Bonding - The Federal Bonding Program is a free insurance service that protects employers who hire justice-involved workers, covering up to $5,000. It provides peace of mind at no cost, with a simple phone process and no paperwork, and more information is available through American Job Centers or by calling 1-877-US2-JOBS.
  • Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) - This provides employers tax incentives for hiring people with a criminal record or other employment barriers. Students may qualify if it's been less than a year since your felony conviction or prison release, or if they are low-income or have been unemployed for six months. Students can visit the American Job Center to check eligibility and request a pre-certification letter to share with employers.

    Employer First-Time Registration

    Access the free student job bank, Handshake, to post positions to students at the five colleges of the Alamo Colleges District.

    Quick Start Employer Registration Guide:

    1. Register for a new account using your employer work email address and a password by visiting the link: New Employer. Note: Registration provides access to post positions to all five colleges.

    2. Complete the registration form, agree to the Employer Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.*

    3. Click "Next: Confirm Email" to verify your account via the employer work email address provided.

  • Employers must abide by Alamo Colleges District's commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) and affirmative action.

    We reserve the right to refuse service to include job postings/on-site recruiting services.  Employers requesting bank account/social security numbers, application fees or donations will be rejected. Concerns of fraudulent business practices are evaluated using NACE’s Principles for Ethical Professional Practice.

    Employer Guidelines

  • Partner with us to prepare students with Internships, Apprenticeships, Job Shadowing and Community Work-study partnerships. 

    Organizations & Non-Profits should set up an account on Handshake to post both paid or unpaid internships.  

    Please have your SAC student student complete a Self-Initiated Form on AlamoExperience so that they can receive co-curricular credit for their internship.
