Graduate Spotlight: Quinton Jones

Quinton Jones will graduate with his Associate of Liberal Arts degree from St. Philip’s College on Friday, May 12, and two weeks later he will graduate with his high school diploma. Quinton is an Early College High School student, graduating from Seguin ECHS on May 26. For the last four years, he has worked vigorously taking in-person classes at Seguin and online classes at SPC to complete high school and college simultaneously. 

Quinton comes from a family of nurses and decided he would go into healthcare at just 14 years old. “I always wanted to help people and was fascinated with medicine,” he said. As a freshman, Quinton knew he had a long road ahead of him with school and wanted to get on it.

When asked how he found out about St. Philip’s College he said, “My parents began researching online for high school programs and saw that SPC had a partnership with my school, and it was free!”

Quinton will continue his education in the fall of 2023 at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he will pursue his bachelor of nursing degree.
