Goal I: Student Success, Quality Teaching, Learning, and Holistic Support
Objective 1: Integrate emerging technologies and data-informed practices to enhance pedagogy, strengthen instructional delivery, and expand personalized student completion pathways.
Objective 2: Strengthen student engagement, persistence, and sense of belonging by fostering meaningful connections and relationship-building across the college experience.
Objective 3: Expand access and provide targeted support services to meet the needs of part-time student populations, with a focus on improving outcomes for first-generation, academically disadvantaged, economically disadvantaged individuals, parents, and students over the age of 25.
Objective 4: Guide students in identifying academic and career goals by providing structured exploration, proactive advising, and clear pathways to informed decision-making.
Goal II: Community Engagement
Objective 1: Build strategic community partnerships with schools, employers, and community organizations and expand employee engagement in community outreach to support access, align resources, and maximize opportunities to advance shared community goals, and elevate NLC’s regional impact.
Objective 2: Create a welcoming campus environment and experience that makes students and their families feel valued, supported, and connected from their first interaction.
Goal III: Care, Collaboration and Trust
Objective 1: Promote a campus culture of care and holistic wellness by encouraging students and employees to take ownership of their personal well-being and actively engage in behaviors that contribute to a healthy and supportive learning environment.
Objective 2: Build a culture of shared identity and institutional cohesion by setting clear expectations for communication, promoting active engagement, and embedding transparent, two-way dialogue as a core responsibility of every employee.
Objective 3: Cultivate Relationship-Rich Teaching, Mentorship, and Professional Excellence
Objective 4: Develop institutional agility by advancing innovative leadership, digital transformation, and strategic risk-taking to respond to emerging challenges.
