About Edmond “Ron” Kelley
Edmond Ron Kelley, Jr. currently serves as Student Government Association President(Student Body President) of Northeast Lakeview College. He made history as the first traditional high school student to be elected Student Body President of a college. He is also a high school Senior at Judson Early College Academy(JECA). The students at his school also attend Northeast Lakeview College and graduate with a high school diploma and a college degree. He began college at the age of 13 years old. He also serves as the President of the National Honor Society, has been selected for a total of 5 honor societies, and is a member of the Judson ISD Gifted and Talented Program. He has been selected for the President’s List and Dean’s List numerous times at Northeast Lakeview. Judson ISD appointed him as the first ever Lead Chair of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, the highest student position in the school district. He is a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., the Knights of Pythagoras, and Demolay International. He co-founded his own nonprofit organization where he mentors at-risk African-American males. He started his own audio/video production company, developing a YouTube page that has amassed over a million views.
He is also a standout athlete, serving as Team Captain of his school’s basketball team. He served as Senior Recruiting Officer in the JROTC program, was selected for the prestigious Boys State program, and is also a Boulé Scholar. The Boulé Scholars Program is the most prestigious scholarship and mentoring program for African-American males. His unprecedented level of accomplishments have made him one of the top-recruited academic scholars in the nation. He has been accepted to over 130 colleges and received over $7 million dollars in scholarships. He has chosen to attend the University of Texas at Austin and pursue a career as a neurosurgeon.
