Spirit Award Nomination
THE SPIRIT OF NORTHEAST LAKEVIEW COLLEGE AWARD
PURPOSE:
To recognize annually an employee who consistently exemplifies the values of the college. Nominations should address in detail the values listed below and provide detailed examples of how the nominee has exemplified these values. Selection committee members score each nominee based solely on the narrative provided on the nomination. No other outside experience or information about the nominee is used when reviewing and scoring submissions.

CRITERIA:
The recipient must have been a NLC full-time employee for a minimum of twelve (12) months prior to the application deadline. Temporary employees are not eligible. Employees previously awarded are not eligible.
PROCESS:
- NOMINATION PROCESS
- Nomination form sent to employees
- SELECTION PROCESS
- Nominations should be forwarded in electronic format using the online nomination form (Spirit of NLC Award Nomination Form)
- Selection committee comprised of representatives from the Faculty Senate, Staff Senate, Administrative staff, and previous Spirit award recipients review nominations
- The College president has the final determination of the recipient
TIMELINE:
- November 13-December 2, 2024
- December 13, 2024: winner announced at the NLC Employee Appreciation Event; receives award.
- January (Spring Convocation): Spirit Award winner provides remarks
RECOGNITION:
- Publicity
- Platform guest and carries the NLC mace at Commencement Ceremony
- NLC Spirit ceremonial medallion and award
- Professional Development Opportunity (to be used by Summer 2025).
