Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) Cyber Defense Students Excel at Cyber League Competition

Northeast Lakeview College Cyber Defense students have been recognized by the National Cyber League (NCL) for their recent efforts during the NCL Spring 2023 Competition Season.
Students from Northeast Lakeview College were coached by Sean Sexton, Primary Coach, and supported by Chip Thornsburg, Program Coordinator for Information Assurance & Cyber Security at NLC. The students participated in individual and team-based events and the college placed #74 nationally in the Cyber Power Rankings among over 7,820 students from 450 colleges and universities in the NCL Spring 2023 Season.
The NCL, powered by Cyber Skyline, is a cybersecurity skills competition that contains real-world cybersecurity tasks that professionals perform on a daily basis. Students who participate in the NCL reinforce their learning and develop the necessary skills for the workforce. Students also earn a skills report that recognizes their abilities and can be shown to an employer to demonstrate the student’s readiness for the job, further bridging the gap from curriculum to careers.
