STEM Building Ground Breaking
Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Building at Northeast Lakeview College
Northeast Lakeview College is the newest of the five Alamo Colleges. Established in 2007, NLC serves more than 6,500 students in northeast San Antonio, Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties. Paluxy Hall will be the college’s tenth facility. The 86,390 sq. ft facility will be home to classrooms and labs for physics, chemistry, etc. study spaces, academic support, and a 3rd-floor multipurpose room with the ability to host large events. The facility will also provide space so that NLC can expand its career and technical programs.

Paluxy Hall will expand NLC’s footprint and expand learning and community engagement opportunities, including but not limited to the following:
- Double capacity in Chemistry and Biology across the campus (Biology increase comes from vacated chemistry labs in the science building).
- Increase the capacity of the Chevron TAMU Engineering Academy to 100 students
- Be a host site for SAC’s Nursing program and work toward an independently accredited ADN Nursing program at NLC.
- Increase capacity of Social Media and Digital Marketing Program
- Offer Astronomy as a science option for students
- Expand Physics offerings and increase capacity with dedicated lab space.
- Host campus and district events in the Bluebonnet Room. Open the Bluebonnet to public use to engage the community on campus.
