Scobee Planetarium

Take your students on a journey through space in the Scobee Planetarium. Our immersive presentations support science learning for elementary, middle school, high school, and adult audiences while reinforcing TEKS-aligned concepts.

School, camp, scout, and community groups may reserve private programs throughout the year. Large groups are encouraged to schedule dedicated presentations to ensure seating availability.

Challenger Learning Center

Students in grades 5-12 step into the roles of scientists, engineers, and astronauts through exciting, hands-on simulated space missions. These 90-minute experiences build teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while supporting TEKS objectives.

Mission Experiences

Expedition Mars (Grades 5-Adult)
Investigate the geology of Mars and the technologies needed for future exploration in our most popular mission.

Operation Comet (Grades 4-8)
Work together to study a long-period comet, overcome mission challenges, and experience real-world STEM careers through collaborative research and problem-solving.

Program Information

• $575 per mission (20-34 students)
• Two teachers or school staff members are required per mission
• Teacher pre-mission training is required
• Programs may also be customized for community groups, team-building events, and special organizations

John L. Santikos Micronaut Center

Designed for children ages 4-9 (Pre-K through Grade 3), the Micronaut program introduces young learners to STEM through an age-appropriate simulated mission to the International Space Station.

Students participate in a guided space mission and hands-on learning stations that encourage creativity, exploration, and scientific thinking. The experience is supported by teacher training and family engagement resources that extend learning beyond the field trip.

• 60-90 minute mission experiences
• $460 per mission
• Up to 12 adult chaperones permitted
