What is the Banking and Financial Services program?

This program studies the rapidly changing global financial services industry. You’ll develop an understanding of the banking and financial services sector while exploring the many career opportunities in these fields.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn the fundamentals of banking and financial services, including bank operations, the Federal Reserve System, money and financial markets, analyzing financial statements, consumer lending, selling bank and financial products, banking laws and regulations, investments and securities, financial business ethics, and business and accounting principles.

What can I do with this course of study?

You’ll be prepared to begin (or progress in) your career in banking and financial services in positions such as tellers, customer service representatives, lending assistants, loan servicing operations, financial operations clerks and financial statement analysts.

This program allows you to get started on a career in banking and financial services while you earn your degree. Start with the 18-hour certificate that prepares you for a career in entry-level roles such as a financial or bank clerk, then work in the field as you complete your associate degree at SAC.
