Federal Work-Study (FWS)
FWS Hired Student Requirements
1. Complete Alamotalent Training (Fully Online, Self–Paced) - Supervisors must allow students time on the clock to complete required training. FWS Students can find the work-study playlist with training on Alamotalent utilizing the search bar. For additional support, please stop by the Moody Learning Center, Room 107.
- Work-Study Student Employee Orientation (Only Once)
- Alamo Information Security Awareness (Yearly)
- Alamo Active Shooter Training Online 2024 (Yearly)
- FERPA: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (Yearly)
- Tools for an Ethical Workplace 2024 (Yearly)
- Campus Resources Work-Study Student Professional (Only Once)
- Workplace Bullying Prevention (Yearly)
- Sexual Harassment Prevention for Employees (Yearly)
2. Complete Professionalism & Work Ethic Micro-Course (Fully Online, Self – Paced) - Supervisors must allow students time on the clock to complete this course on canvas. Students will be entered into the canvas course by the CREO Office (Only Once)
3. Complete Student Experience Survey (Online) - Students should complete the Student Experience Survey to provide feedback about their work experience within their first 30 days. (Once a Year)
FWS Supervisor Requirements
1. Complete SAC FWS Supervisor Training - Supervisor training is an annual requirement for all SAC FWS supervisors. To hire FWS for your department, you must have completed yearly training. Contact Eric at emartinez1394@alamo.edu for registration details.
2. Complete FWS Student Employee Evaluation - Supervisors must complete a performance evaluation within the first 30 days of employment. The evaluation sheet will be located in the FWS Supervisors Team's account folder.

Each year FWS & Supervisor can nominate candidates for different categories within the CREO Awards Ceremony.
