What are the Spots?

Our facility provides students with microscopes, microscope slides for reviewing the exercises that are performed in the labs; VCRs and DVDplayers, and over 350 titles in video/DVD to reinforce concepts learned in class; preserved specimens for dissection; plastic models, textbooks, and scientific journals. A validated SAC photo ID is required to check out materials. Items are identified with code numbers. Make sure you copy that Item Code when requesting materials from the Student Assistant at the front desk.

Students may have study groups in the main room (Rm. 350) of the BioSpot, but it's necessary to be considerate to others and keep the voice down. Room 352 has some small individual & study groups rooms and cubicles with TV/DVDs sets. We expect this room to be an extremely quiet environment for studying. Some of our resources are readily available to students on the open shelves; others must be checked-out with the Student Assistant at the front desk. Some items are for in-house use only; others may be checked-out overnight, according to the instructor's specifications. YOU MUST PRESENT A VALIDATED SAC PHOTO ID FOR CHECKING-OUT ANY MATERIAL! We WILL NOT accept Driver Licenses, Military IDs or IDs from other institutions. We want to be clear on this policy: NO STUDENT ID, NO SERVICE. This policy will be enforced at all times, and is in place for safety and security reasons. If you need help in locating or using any of our resources, please ask the Assistant. Take care of the BioSpot. ABSOLUTELY NO EATING OR DRINKING IN ROOM 352 OR COMPUTER LAB. Any suggestions, problems, conflicts might be deposited in the SUGGESTIONS BOX at the BioSpot. Recommendations, complaints, etc. shall receive fair and immediate attention.

Where are they located?
