Ida Lomas Named Director of Student Conduct and Title IX

San Antonio College has named Ida Lomas Director of Student Conduct and Title IX. Previously, she was a Student Conduct Officer with the Student Conduct & Title IX Office.

Lomas joined the Student Conduct and Title IX office in 2017 and her role involved mediating situations between students and employees and providing support and resources for students impacted by any form of Title IX, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Overall, she has 16 years of experience in higher education having served in various departments across the student success division. 

As director, Lomas will oversee the SAC Cares Initiative and case management, which involves addressing and mitigating student incidents including student misconduct, Strategies of Behavioral Intervention (SOBI), Title IX, programming, student petitions, the student complaint management process, trainings and consultations.

She is a proud SAC alum having earned two associate degrees at SAC in art and liberal arts, respectively. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in art from Texas State University and is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at the University of Texas at San Antonio where she is studying higher education administration.
