Winter Impact Assistance

February's winter storm and its aftermath greatly affected our community. Many are still struggling with power, water and food issues. 

SAC is committed to helping students, faculty, and staff in every way possible with emergency funds, counseling and other important resources and services. 

STUDENTS

  • A special Winter Weather Impact Fund has been setup to provide temporary assistance for structural damage to home, weather-related housing displacement, and loss of income due to weather. Apply here.
  • The Helpline will connect you to additional resources, referrals and case management. Please call 210-486-1111 and have your Banner ID number. 
  • SAC will host a special Pop-up Food Market, in partnership with Alamo Colleges, Northwest Vista College, and the San Antonio Food Bank, on Thursday, February 25, 3-5 p.m. on campus in Lot 8. Register in advance by calling the San Antonio Food Bank at 210-431-8326.
  • All students on campus should bring their own water until further notice.
  • For course-related questions please email or call your professor, advisor or the Office of Student Life. They can help you get the information and resources you need.

FACULTY & STAFF

  • The Family Helping Families Relief Fund is available to help those who have experienced hardships or loss due to the recent winter storm. This is in addition to helping employees who have been affected by COVID-19.  The fund has recently received additional money so faculty and staff can apply now for emergency help.
