Graduate Spotlight: Leah Ramirez

Leah Ramirez is graduating from St. Philip’s College with an Associate of Arts in Psychology. Maintaining a 3.6 GPA, Leah has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence and a passion for mental health advocacy. Her coursework in psychology, abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, interpersonal communication, and statistical psychology strengthened her interest in counseling and supporting underserved communities. Leah is the recipient of several scholarships, including the James and Nyles Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship, the Student Engagement Grant Scholarship, and the Be it! Foundation–Vester Family Fund Endowed Scholarship.

She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Professionally, Leah has worked with Publishing Concepts LLP since 2020, where she developed skills in active listening, empathetic communication, and client support. Through her academic and professional experiences, she has become passionate about improving access to mental health resources for youth and underserved populations. Leah plans to attend Texas A&M University–San Antonio to continue pursuing a career in mental health and counseling.
