Dr. Laura E. Boyer
Dr. Laura E. Boyer serves as Vice President for Academic Success at Northeast Lakeview
College. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the college's academic units associated with the credit transfer degree programs, workforce credit programs, the college's academic support services, Learning Resources, Distance Learning, and serving as the Chief Academic Officer.
Dr. Boyer has over 22 years of higher education experience within community colleges. Prior to joining Northeast Lakeview College, Dr. Boyer served as the Dean of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and Strategic Planning, the Associate Dean for Curriculum and Student Learning, and the Accreditation Liaison for South Texas College as well as having over 12 years of experience as an adjunct faculty member, teaching undergraduate coursework both in-class and online. She has in-depth experience providing leadership for accreditation, instructional program development, and compliance, strategic course schedule management, learning outcomes assessment, and program evaluation and planning processes. Dr. Boyer is passionate about improving equity outcomes through access to and completion of higher education, leadership development, and building collaborative approaches to decision making.
Her educational background includes an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, a Master of Education in Adult Education from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, and a BA degree in Music and Psychology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
