About James Miller

Born and raised in Southern Indiana, James Miller earned his Associates's degree in Graphic Design from Indiana Vocational Technical College and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in Ceramics from Indiana University Southeast (IUS). After receiving his undergraduate degree, James obtained his Master of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in Ceramics from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Having earned his terminal
degree, James returned to the Midwest where he served as an Adjunct Professor of Art and Ceramic Studio Manager at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Following his professional service at Maryville University, James returned to Texas where he accepted a Fine Arts Professor position at South Texas College (STC).

Since 2007, James has taught full-time here at Northeast Lakeview College. Over the past 20 years, James has organized/co-organized many local and regional shows, continues to be an active supporter of the arts and participates in an ever-growing dossier of local, regional, and national art shows and events.
