About Stephanie Plourde

I am a passionate nursing educator with four years of experience in academia. I have ten years of nursing experience, specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing. Prior to entering nursing, I was a combat medic in the Reserves and an RN on active duty, with twelve years of total military experience. 

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS in 2016. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing Education in 2025 from Galen College of Nursing. 

My philosophy of teaching and nursing education is that it is a collaborative, transformative process that values and encourages each learner’s uniqueness and potential. My approach to teaching is in an environment that fosters critical thinking, compassion, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
