A Citywide Connection: North East ISD Students Choose NVC for Tech Pathways
March 23, 2026
The future of digital storytelling isn't years away—it’s already being built by the Class of 2030.
Recently, Northwest Vista College joined forces with the Design and Technology Academy (DATA) at Roosevelt High School to celebrate a group of trailblazing students. These high schoolers are taking on a bold challenge: earning a Level 1 Certificate in 3D Animation or Game Development Production simultaneously with their high school diploma.

As an open-enrollment magnet program, DATA provides innovative education to students across San Antonio, regardless of school district boundaries. By offering specialized pathways in multimedia arts, digital communications, architectural design, and design & art, the program ensures students are prepared for both college and high-wage careers through advanced academics and industry-recognized certifications.
The energy at our kickoff event in partnership with North East ISD was electric. Between meeting Wildcat Willie and our High School Programs Team, students officially signed their commitment contracts and knocked out their Dual Credit applications on the spot.

By connecting with current DATA students, these future creators got a firsthand look at the path ahead—one that leads from the classrooms of Roosevelt to the cutting edge of San Antonio’s booming digital economy.
We are inspired by their determination and thrilled to see what the Class of 2030 will create. Welcome to the Wildcat family, DATA @ Roosevelt!
