2026 Fiesta Poster Competition

Call for Submissions – Alamo Colleges Students

The Art Departments of the Alamo Colleges District invite all currently enrolled students, as well as Spring 2025 graduates, to submit original artwork for consideration in the 2026 Fiesta Poster Competition, proudly sponsored by the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.

Submission Deadline: September 3, 2025

2026 Theme: Fiesta Together

Each college's Art Department will evaluate submissions and select one outstanding entry to represent their institution at the Fiesta San Antonio Commission’s "5 to 1" Unveiling Event, scheduled for September 25, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the San Antonio Garden Center.

The selected winning artwork will become the official poster for Fiesta 2026 and will receive a $5,000 cash award. Additionally, the artist's home department will be awarded $2,500 in recognition of its support. Further prizes and exhibition opportunities may be available for selected participants.

Submission Requirements:

Artwork must reflect the cultural vibrancy of San Antonio and the festive spirit of Fiesta
Must include the text: FIESTA® SAN ANTONIO
Artist’s signature must appear on the work
Vertical format measuring 24 inches wide by 36 inches high
Both traditional and digital media are accepted
Only individually created (non-collaborative) works will be considered
Continuous tone and flat art, or a
Mounted on stretched canvas, illustration board, form core, unframed, and no glass
No fluorescent or metallic
The Artist is responsible, if necessary, for obtaining the proper permission for use of any copyright material
