SAC Eco Centro Volunteer Opportunities Give Time! Together We Make a Difference! At our SAC Eco Centro we have several volunteer opportunities to protect nature on land. If you love the great outdoors and hands-on work, then our nature conservancy projects will be the perfect choice for you! Whether you come alone or as a part of a team, we have FUN in store for you. We encourage you to come to us and volunteer on environmentally focused initiatives and get some green experience on your resume. Below are some opportunities available to our volunteers. Opportunities are available every Wednesday. We ask that our Volunteers commit to a minimum of four hours per week.
Garcia Street Farm VolunteerSupport infrastructure build outs on the farm, which includes planting garden, pulling weeds, raised bed construction, watering plants, assisting farmers market operation among others. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 6
Eco Centro Garden VolunteerGarden, urban farm, pollinator gardens and food forest maintenance – weeding, planting, harvesting, seed starting and other garden related activities. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
Eco Centro Event VolunteerAssist with event planning, summer camp activities, and execution of fundraising events (including offsite events). Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
Eco Centro Communications VolunteerAssist in the promotion of farmers markets and education programs. Such as, mentoring, fundraising and student research projects. Special skills include writing, photography or graphic design. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 |
