Inspiring Radical Creativity: An Evening with Gabby Rivera (w/ Q&A)

Beginning at 7 pm

Writer, speaker, storyteller, Latinx culture nerd will speak about her book Juliet Takes a Breath and the Marvel comic superhero America Chavez.

Queer Brown Voices: Personal Narratives of LGBTQ+ Activism

To disrupt the cycle of sexism, racism and homophobia that they experienced, LGBTQ+ Latinas/os organized themselves on local, state and national levels, forming communities in which they could fight for equal rights while simultaneously staying true to both their ethnic and sexual identities.

Come celebrate International Coming Out Day at SAC with a photo booth, flags, and an opportunity to come out as member or ally to the LGBTQ A+ community.

Share Your Status” is the theme for poetry, spoken word, and other performance art at this LGBTQ+ History Month event. This event is free and open to the public.

LGBTQ+ History Exhibit

Library Exhibition Area, MLC 4th Floor

8 am - 3 pm

Students at San Antonio College will host an exhibit on the history of the LGBTQ+ Civil Rights Movement. The exhibit will include poster displays and oral histories highlighting important developments and milestones in the struggle for equality and acceptance. Students will provide tours for attendees.
