Identify Your No Cost or OER Course Faculty Event
Faculty can visit the SAC OER webpage to identify their courses as no cost or OER. Faculty can identify if they created open or copyrighted materials, adopted or adapted existing open educational resources, or use open or copyrighted materials available through the library. www.alamo.edu/sac/OER

No Cost Instructional Materials or OER Thank You Student Event
Students can visit the SAC OER webpage to thank faculty who have transitioned to no cost instructional materials or OER, making higher education more accessible and affordable for their students. www.alamo.edu/sac/OER

Monday, March 4 – “You paid WHAT for your textbooks?” AlamoOpen Selfie Student EventCome learn about how to save money on your textbooks.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mall Area in front of MLC

Tuesday, March 5 – Openly License Your Work Faculty EventBring one of your assignments, a rubric, image, lecture video or lecture notes and learn how to add a Creative Commons license and share with other educators across the world. Your content should be on a flash drive or saved on cloud storage.

Tuesday, March 5  Texas Digital Libraries Webinar “Getting Started with OER: Lessons Learned” Faculty Event
Join OER leaders across the country as they present an introduction to the breadth of issues, challenges, and early wins for getting started with OER.

Wednesday, March 6 – Community College Consortium for Open Education Webinar: English Faculty Dialogues
English faculty Laurie Lopez Coleman (SAC) and Clare Thompson (Northern Essex CC) will discuss the intricacies of teaching OER in that subject and invite audience questions.
