Fall 2026 - 2027 Presidential Scholars

David Larson

David Larson is an Occupational Therapy major maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. He brings valuable hands-on experience from his time at Pleasanton North Nursing, where his dedication earned him the Employee of the Month distinction. Deeply committed to community service, David also volunteers at Livingwater Fellowship, where he mentors and supervises youth ages 12 to 18.

Luis R. Montero

Luis R. Montero is a dedicated Baking & Pastry Arts major maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. He has participated in baking internships, including an experience with Chef Charis Elizondo. In addition, Luis is highly committed to community service, supporting initiative through the Feeding Homeless, Feeding Hope group. Through this group, he seeks to provide meals and desserts that bring happiness to people experiencing food insecurity.

Kinverlin S. Casas

Kinverlin S. Casas is a Biology major holding a strong 3.71 GPA. She has contributed her time and skills to The Good Samaritan Center Program and is currently a dedicated volunteer at University Health Hospital. Within the hospital, she actively participates in the Senior Center, demonstrating a strong commitment to healthcare access and community well-being.

Jessica Ayala

Jessica Ayala is an Education major student maintaining a solid 3.47 GPA. Recognized for her potential and drive, she received the Student Engagement Grant (SEG) last year. Professionally, Jessica balances her studies by leading teams as the Assistant Manager at Paradies Lagadere. She is deeply committed to community service, dedicating her free time to volunteering at the C3 for Compassion Community Center, where she coordinates vital aid and resources for migrant families throughout the San Antonio community.
