I-20 applications are only accessible during designated application periods and are closed once the deadline has passed.

I-20 Application Deadlines

New Students (Outside the U.S.)
  • Spring: October 1
  • Fall: May 15
Transfer Students (Currently in U.S., in F-1 status)
  • Spring: November 1
  • Fall: June 15
  • Must submit all required documents by the application deadline
  • Incomplete applications will be reviewed for the next available semester
Change of Status Applicants (Currently in the U.S., Non-F-1 Status)
  • Must submit all required documents by the application deadline
  • Must apply at least 60 days before current status expires
  • Must obtain I-20 from SAC ISO before applying to USCIS
I-20 Delivery Options
  • Standard mailing is available
  • Express shipping is available at the student’s expense

  • $100 non-refundable application processing fee

Foreign Transcript Evaluation
  • All foreign transcripts must be evaluated and translated by a U.S. company
  • The college only accepts evaluations from NACES members

English Language Requirements

English Language Requirements
  • The Michigan Exam is used to determine English proficiency
  • Students who do not meet English proficiency may be placed in the ESL program
Center for English Language Learning (CELL)

SAC provides English as a Second Language (ESL) courses through the Center for English Language Learning for students who need to improve their English proficiency.
