Student Testimonials

When the time came to enroll into Northwest Vista College, the administration office was helpful and gave me the proper steps to help make enrolling easier. I was sweating bullets when it came to obtaining my official transcripts and getting them in the mail to NVC Admissions, but thankfully they were received in less than a week.
My next step was to meet with an Advisor. I was very nervous when it came to planning my schedule for Semesters and she was very patient and understanding my return into community college. I'd recommend her to anybody that is seeking advising for their upcoming semesters.

I'm writing to inform you of my experience with enrollment and registration here at NVC. I originally didn't expect to attend this semester, but with the push that I needed from a friend, I decided to give it a shot. At this time, it was already December, and the Fall semester was coming to an end. For this reason, I was stressed trying to make it on time with my enrollment. Though stressful, the staff and workers here at NVC worked hard to help make the entire process easy, and they did just that. I have zero complaints, and am very thankful for their time in helping me get on my feet.

My experience registering was easy when I went in person! I was able to get the information I needed as-well as getting information on parents going to college benefits! It was such a good experience for someone who can be a bit worried about going to college for the first time especially as a parent! I honestly told my friend who was contemplating going to college to go to northwest vista since the process was easy and the staff is very welcoming and nice!

My reasoning for choosing to attend NVC was that it was the best financial decision, and also because it would be easier for me to attend a community college first and then transfer to a university. Surprisingly, the enrollment process for me was fairly easy, and I received lots of help from multiple staff members.

Wildcat Connections is a peer mentorship program at Northwest Vista College designed to foster a strong sense of belonging, connection, and community among students. Through the program, new and continuing students are paired with trained peer mentors who provide guidance on navigating college life, building friendships, and connecting with campus resources. Mentors serve as approachable guides who help students feel supported both academically and socially during their first year at NVC. The mentorship experience lasts for one academic year, with students having the option to request continued participation if they wish to remain involved. Inspired by Wildcat Willie, the program encourages students to stay connected, support one another, and thrive as part of the Wildcat community.
