Bio:

I have been teaching for NVC since 2013 and am currently serving as the Chair of Fine & Performing Arts and Kinesiology. My expertise includes 2-D studio art (printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media) and art history, specifically Italian Renaissance and early 20th century European Modernism. My background in Women's Studies informs my research into women in the arts and I chair the Women's History Month Committee. I frequently curate exhibits for the Palmetto Center for the Arts and maintain a private studio. As a practicing artist, I can help you to develop your portfolio and provide feedback for conceptual development. I can advise students looking for internships in the arts, exhibition advice and transferring to earn a BFA. I am happy to discuss potential career paths that a degree in the arts opens up. I am also here for non-majors...creative thinking and visual intelligence are valuable skills in today's job market.
