Bio:

Like you, I started my higher education journey at a community college before completing my BA and MA in psychology at TAMU-CC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and have worked with children and families in a variety of settings. Somewhere along the way, I picked up an adjunct (part-time) teaching job because I thought it sounded interesting and would be a fun way to earn extra money. Little did I realize it would completely change my professional journey. I fell in love with teaching and helping students achieve their goals. I was a full-time Professional Assistant Professor at TAMU-CC and taught undergraduate and graduate psychology courses for several years before my family moved to San Antonio. I joined the NVC family in 2018 and love the smaller class sizes and ability to make meaningful connections with students as they are just beginning their own journey. The path to becoming a professional can be challenging and confusing, but having a team of advisors and mentors along the way is priceless. I wouldn't be where I am today without the wonderful people who helped me on my journey.
