Pulido, known for hits like "Desvelado," shared his powerful story of heritage and the importance of education, a narrative NVC instructors believed deeply connected with students who share similar backgrounds and ambitions.

"We were incredibly honored to have Bobby Pulido join us," said NVC Instructor and MAS Program Coordinator Lucero Saldaña. "His willingness to share his personal story provided an invaluable learning experience for our community."

The event was co-sponsored by the NVC student club Somos MAS. The student group La Autoridad performed before Pulido's discussion.

Pulido, who has been in the entertainment industry for over 29 years, is the son of Tejano legend Roberto Pulido. The entertainer has received multiple accolades, including a Latin Grammy for Best Tejano album in 2022. He currently boasts over 7.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is on his farewell tour. He also hosts the recently launched "Ranch Hall Podcast with Bobby Pulido."
