Northwest Vista College (NVC) has been named one of the top institutions in the nation for student satisfaction, earning the No. 6 spot overall and placing in the top 20% of all public institutions (enrollment over 20,000) in the EdSights 2026 Student Voice Score (SVS) benchmark report. More than 1,000 students responded to the question about their experience at NVC, and 90% rated their experience an 8, 9 or 10 on a 10-point scale.

In hundreds of comments, students described Northwest Vista College as a place where people genuinely care. They highlighted professors who know their names, advisors who support their goals, and a network of employees in advocacy, learning support, financial aid, library services, and other areas who help them succeed. More than 30% of comments also praised the campus as welcoming, safe, beautiful, and supportive. Students repeatedly used words like helpful, caring, welcoming, supportive, and friendly.

One student’s comment captured the sentiment beautifully:

“NVC became more than a college. It felt like a second home and encouraged me to persevere toward success and achieve my goals.”

EdSights collects real-time student feedback via AI-powered text messaging to improve student retention. The Student Voice Score, powered by EdSights, is the higher education industry’s first broad benchmark designed to measure student satisfaction at scale.
