NVC Honors Academy Now Accepting Applications

May 13, 2026

Northwest Vista College is officially inviting students to apply for the NVC Honors Academy, a program designed to provide an enriched academic experience through specialized curriculum and community engagement. The deadline to apply for the Honors Academy for Fall 2026 classes is Aug. 1.

The Honors Academy offers students the opportunity to participate in smaller classes that emphasize critical thinking, research, and collaborative learning. Beyond the classroom, members benefit from dedicated faculty mentorship, field trips, and guest speakers. Students also have opportunities for experiential and applied learning, academic research, and portfolio development.

To be eligible for the program, students must demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence.

“The Honors Academy is about more than just high grades; it’s about creating a space where students can dive deeper into their passions and build a network that supports their long-term goals,” said Caroline Castellanos, NVC Instructor of History and NVC Honors Academy Lead.

Interested students are encouraged to review the application requirements and submit their materials online. For more information, visit the NVC Honors Academy website.
