In October 2025, Megan Raymond was recognized as the AlamoPROMISE Student of the Month. During her time at NVC, she has participated in a variety of activities, including serving as vice president of Student Government, a secondary delegate on the Student District Council, and the president of the NVC Kitty Cat Club.

After she earns an Associate of Arts from NVC, Megan plans to transfer to UT San Antonio and pursue a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs.

Q: Describe a moment when a piece of data, a grade, or feedback completely changed your direction?

A: When I realized that online classes work best for me, my ability to complete coursework expanded exponentially and made my college experience much better.

Q: Beyond the degree itself, what is the 'invisible' skill you developed at NVC that you believe will be your greatest asset in the workforce or at your next university?

A: An invisible skill that I have developed at NVC that will be a great asset in the future is my teamwork and communication skills.

Q: If a friend or family member were considering college, what is the No. 1 reason you would recommend Northwest Vista College?

A: The number one reason I would recommend NVC is the affordability and the amazing atmosphere for students. There are so many opportunities to grow as a student and professional. The number one reason I would recommend NVC is the affordability and the amazing atmosphere for students. There are so many opportunities to grow as a student and professional. I really loved my time at Vista and will cherish the memories I made. I’m so glad to have been a student at NVC.
