Certificate 1

When I first enrolled at NVC, I was very nervous. I was scared that I wouldn’t have the mental capacity to focus on school and that parenting would somehow get neglected. After enrolling, I sat my children down and said, “Mommy is about to start school, so I need us to work together.” And that we did.
Despite obstacles like spending a week in the hospital at the start of the first semester, through working together, we made it through. It’s hard to write this and say “me, me, I,” because we literally got through this together. This is our cybersecurity certificate.
I had a great experience. I love the beauty of the campus, my professors were amazing with communication, and the college experience was as flexible as I needed.
Lastly, I will forever be grateful for Northwest Vista. From day one, when I needed assistance with food, bill pay, or even just understanding, they were there. No one made me feel embarrassed or judged. Anytime I needed anything, someone was there and easily directed me to whoever could help.
During graduation, it was such an honor to be able to sit with my children and also for them to walk the stage with me. It was the first time in my life that I was ever supported and celebrated by my children for the effort I put in to succeed with them by my side.
Thank you, Northwest Vista, for an amazing college and graduation experience. Thank you for seeing me and celebrating me AND my children.
