This checklist provides important steps to help students prepare for and succeed in online courses at San Antonio College.
Before Classes Start
- Access your ACES Portal to verify enrollment and payment information.
- Review your course syllabus to understand course requirements, expectations, and policies.
- Access your student email account and check it regularly.
- Email your instructor with any questions about course materials or expectations.
- Purchase required textbooks and materials through the bookstore or instructor-recommended sources.
- Ensure you have access to a reliable internet connection and a modern web browser.
- Contact technical support if needed:
- Attend an online learning orientation workshop if available.
First Week of Class
- Log in to your course as soon as the semester begins.
- If you experience login issues, contact technical support or email your instructor.
- Review course materials, announcements, and instructions.

During the Semester
