The newly renovated Turbon Student Center is beautiful! Enjoy lounging, bowling alley, pool tables, ping pong, video gaming area and much more. Students are encouraged to get involved in student organizations. There are numerous organizations on campus: social, special interest, and those affiliated with educational departments. EMBODI: Men of Color ConferenceEmpowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence (EMBODI) conference is designed to collaborate with established organizations and agencies to address the plight of an often over-looked demographic: young men of color. |
Student Engagement Grants (SEG)
Grants are appropriated for the academic year. A grant recipient who demonstrates commitment to the project initiative and maintains academic eligibility may receive funding for each session.
The Department of Student Life has SEG opportunities in the following areas: Alamo Institutes, Spirit and Pride Crew, Student Government Association, Extramural Sports, QEP and the Collegiate 100. For more information on these projects stop by Turbon Student Center (TSC), 110.
