Free Childcare for Student Parents!

Student parents enrolled in select courses can get free childcare for children ages 5-13 while attending evening or Saturday classes.

Before First Day of Class

The objective of Advising by Semester is to inform, assist, and transition all new students and support them throughout their college experience. Our goal is to ensure that NVC students understand these evolving steps.

What type of Advising will I receive during New Student Orientation?

During New Student Orientation you will be meeting with a certified advisor to help you plan out which classes you will register for during your first semester to help you be successful from the very beginning. They will use information you provided about your career goals, and which 4-year institution you may want to attend in the future in order to help you decide which classes to take.

In addition, they will assist you with registering for either the EDUC1300 or SDEV0370 course- the freshman seminar course that is designed to teach you college success strategies to use in all your classes.
