To our military-connected students; before engaging in any voluntary education activities, please consult your education service office regarding service-specific requirements, instructions, and/or regulations.
St. Philip's College provides advocacy, information, and enrollment services for military-connected students on behalf of the Alamo Colleges. Evening courses are scheduled at Fort Sam Houston for the convenience of our military and Department of Defense students. Civilians are welcome as space permits, but due to security requirements, we are unable to accommodate foreign students on Visas at this location. Active military has priority enrollment for all courses at Fort Sam Houston.
DoD Tuition & Fee Information
Texas residents & those assigned to duty in Texas; $99 per credit hour
Those assigned to duty outside of Texas; $215 per credit hour

Payment Deferment Requests
Students with delayed TA/MyCAA/VA funding may request to secure courses and delay payment by submitting a Payment Deferment Request.

Evening Program Information
St. Philip's offers evening courses at Fort Sam Houston and civilian students are welcome however, military and DoD students have priority for all Fort Sam classes. All visitors to Fort Sam Houston are subject to background checks.
An Authorization for Release of Personal Information form is required from all students, including active military and dependent family members, and must be received at the time of registration. Students without DoD ID cards must be registered no later than 10 days prior to the first day of class.
Students will be considered for registration into JBSA courses based upon a priority order set by the Department of Defense Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (DoD MOU). Consideration for groups 2-5 may be given early, dependent upon enrollments.

Reserved Courses for Military Affiliated Students
St. Philip's College schedules online and campus courses reserved for our military, veteran and dependent students and are listed in the online schedule as Reserved-Mil/Vet/Dependents on the far right in the schedule.
