How do I see an academic advisor?

On Campus Drop-In Advising 

Current NVC students may visit Desert Willow Welcome Center 202R (DWWC 202R) for drop-in advising during the hours listed below.  

• • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
• Evening and weekend services will be available in Juniper Hall Open Lab (JH 106) during the hours listed below: 
  • Monday - Thursday: 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Note: Services may conclude once capacity is reached for the day. Wait times vary based on student traffic and advisor availability. 

Online Advising Chat

Online advising chat is available for general questions. To begin, click the box labeled "Online Advising Chat" on this page. Please have your Student Banner ID ready.

Advising services are offered to current NVC students in various formats throughout the year. Check here for weekly updates. Your assigned academic advisor will send weekly emails to your ACES student email with information on contacting and scheduling an advising appointment.   • Change of Pre-Major (COM) 
  • Degree Audits
  • Financial Aid Appeal/Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals
  • Mandatory Academic Standing, Academic Probation check-ins
