Criminal Justice

The discipline of Criminal Justice at Northeast Lakeview College offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice as well as certificates in Criminal Justice and Corrections. The curriculum combines both theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare students for successful careers in the criminal justice system. Courses cover topics such as criminal law, criminal procedure, corrections, criminology, juvenile justice, victimology, and more. In addition to traditional courses, students can also engage in hands-on learning through internships with local law enforcement agencies. Graduates of the program are prepared for a variety of roles in the criminal justice system such as police officer, corrections officer, probation officer, and more.
